Dr. Roberson Beauvile
Founder
Dr. Beauvile is a sociologist specializing in economics, law, and artificial intelligence; a software engineer; and a former physicist. He holds a PhD in Sociology from Emory University, a Master's in Applied Quantitative Research from New York University, and a Bachelor's in Physics from Florida State University. His work focuses on applying data, technology, and research to measure, track, and strengthen the Black economy while expanding opportunities for Black-owned businesses and Black communities.
He founded Emerald Book with a mission to build the nation's most comprehensive platform for tracking and growing Black economic activity and connecting consumers with Black entrepreneurs.
Kiandra Ball
Vice President
As Vice President, Kiandra's marketing expertise and deep understanding of audience engagement were instrumental in scaling Emerald Book from a small initiative to a thriving platform serving millions of users.
Her data-driven outreach strategies and talent for building authentic community connections have fueled the organization's exponential growth.
Dr. Robed Beauvile-Owen
Treasurer
Dr. Beauvile-Owen combines his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh with advanced data science expertise to guide Emerald Book's growth strategy. He also holds a Bachelor's in Mathematics from Florida State University. He is the founder of AniPoint Site Research, a data-driven consultancy that helps retail businesses evaluate potential locations by analyzing traffic patterns, demographics, commuter flows, and competition to assess long-term viability before committing to leases or development.
Beyond his growth leadership, he conducts research in fixed point theory and frame theory, with applications in communication systems and econometrics.
Hannah Beauvile-Owen
Secretary
Hannah's creative vision drives Emerald Book's brand identity and future growth. A professional artist with nearly a decade of social media strategy, she holds certifications from CalArts (UI/UX and Graphic Design), UC Davis (Content Strategy), and Google Launchpad (Social Media Marketing).
As Secretary, she architects the organization's visual and narrative language—turning memos and campaigns into cohesive, compelling stories—while preserving Emerald Book's legacy with the same care she brings to its forward-facing work.
Dr. Marcus DuPont
Board Member
Dr. DuPont is a theoretical astrophysicist at Princeton University. He holds a PhD in Physics from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in Physics & Astrophysics from Florida State University. Through his mother's use of Sòl, he experienced firsthand the importance of community bonds and has since championed numerous utilitarian causes.
His commitment to community-driven initiatives led him to serve on the Emerald Book board.
